Cold Brew Vanilla Sweet Cream (Print Version)

Smooth cold-brew coffee steeped overnight and finished with rich vanilla sweet cream for a cool, creamy pick-me-up.

# What You'll Need:

→ Cold Brew Coffee

01 - 1/2 cup coarsely ground coffee beans
02 - 2 cups cold filtered water

→ Vanilla Sweet Cream

03 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
04 - 1/4 cup whole milk
05 - 2 tablespoons vanilla syrup (store-bought or homemade)

→ To Serve

06 - Ice cubes, as needed

# Directions:

01 - In a large jar or French press, add the coarsely ground coffee and pour in the cold filtered water. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are saturated.
02 - Cover the container and refrigerate undisturbed for 12 to 24 hours, depending on desired strength.
03 - Strain the steeped mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or a coffee filter into a clean container, discarding the grounds and any fine sediment.
04 - In a small bowl or jar, whisk the heavy cream, whole milk and vanilla syrup until blended and slightly thickened but still pourable.
05 - Fill two glasses with ice, pour the cold brew to about three-quarters full, then top each glass with a generous pour of the vanilla sweet cream.
06 - Serve immediately, allowing the cream to swirl through the coffee; stir if desired before drinking.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • You can adjust the sweetness and creaminess to suit your mood, no barista needed.
  • It delivers that out-for-coffee feeling — but in pajama comfort, whenever you want.
02 -
  • Once, I forgot to strain the cold brew twice and ended up with a gritty sip; take an extra moment for a second pass if your filter is coarse.
  • Letting the cream rest in the fridge for a few minutes before pouring helps it layer beautifully over the coffee.
03 -
  • Avoid metal or plastic steeping containers; glass keeps off-flavors at bay.
  • The quality of your beans and water is everything — fresh makes a world of difference.
